Professor Rachael Fothergill

Head of Clinical Audit & Research, London Ambulance Service NHS Trust

Rachael has more than 25 years’ experience in ambulance service research and is Head of Clinical Audit and Research at London Ambulance Service, leading high‑quality research activity across the organisation.

She holds senior academic appointments at Warwick University and Kingston University and chairs both the UK National Ambulance Research Steering Group and the UK OHCA Registry Data Use Committee.

Rachael has played a central role in many of the UK’s largest pre‑hospital trials, informing national guidelines and service delivery. Widely published, she has contributed to over 100 peer‑reviewed papers and helped secure more than £15 million in research funding.
